Air filter

Featured Replies

Hi All

Have a K&N air filter in the moment but was reading reports that they don't filter as well as OEM paper filters. Was going to try a paper filter for a while.

Has anyone used these ??? Any other recommendations ???

If you can get Bosch or Mann as these are OEM. Few people have found that performance air filters on these are pointless. Plus cost more to keep clean.

Just out of curiosity, what about the oil filters?? I have always used dealer filters but are they Mann / Bosch too??

Mann & Mahle.  Possibly Bosch

My car came with a pipercross filter fitted by the previous owner. I changed it to paper as I was changing filters anyway...... wasn't sure if I could feel any difference so put the pipercross back in

If there is a difference, it's so tiny that it's not noticeable

Just replace the OEM paper one more frequently.

If you already have an aftermarket, washable filter there's no point binning it but I'd be inclined to wash it every service
