just bought my good lady a golf convertible and planning on giving it a good going over (detailing wise) tomorrow 

 

how long does the reproofing need before its dry ???

 

bloody july and its forecasting rain for nottingham tommorow and i only get one day a week off  so time is against me 

 

 

It needs a good couple of yours of strong sunlight to dry it properly
It won't harm if not proofed..just leave it till a nice day and do it then.
I used two coats on my MX-5

Always fancied a convertible. But living out in the sticks means there is never a day goes by that our car roofs arnt splatter with bird droppings.........would probably be a nightmare with a canvas roof?

It washes off reassuringly easily after some good waterproofing spray

just tried the roof cleaner and tbh was a bit dissapointed with it 

 

but managed to get it proofed so i'll have another go with meguiars when i next get a day
