Fabia 1.4 Mpi problem.????

Hi everyone...

now.. i know 1.4 mpi is sllloooooowww however i have had the car for about 6 months, bought it used Y reg.. but having driven my friends 1.4 Corsa and 1.2 8v Fiat Punto is seems really really slow... the response when i pull away and accelleration is delayed before i get anywhere by a good half a second...

Any ideas????

My take on this is that it's big for a small car and it doesn't like drainage things, e.g. air conditioning (particularly at start and going uphill), nor the others, e.g. fan, radio, low petrol etc, at start, especially in cold weather (Ooops! stalled again).

It's nothing like as nippy as small cars that you "fly by the seat of your pants" IMO. I don't know if adjustments can be made, but I always get told off after its service that "it needs a good run" (given I only do town driving). Might that be something to consider? Sorry if not very helpful.
