Anybody know roughly what k factor a hid kit would be to the colour of the vrs drl 6000k or 8000k

Certainly not 8000K, probably not 6000K. More likely to be around the 5-5500K on a HID kit. I would go for 5000K.

5000K are a too blue and 4300K are ever so slightly yellow. I went for 4300K as they provide better light and IMHO are the closest possible match.

I don't think 5000k is too blue, personal opinions I guess.
