Just saying hello to the Skoda community

Featured Replies

Hello everyone My name is Tony and I have just joined this website. I have never owned a Skoda before and I must say I am impressed with the Fabia Mk ii.

I am getting used to the various instruments and icons (my previous car didn't have any of these). If anyone out there has a tips or advice I would be very happy to receive anything

Hello Tony, and welcome to Briskoda, we're a very friendly, helpful bunch, if you work your way down the "chapter headings" you'll see sections for each model, and subsections for eg. Fabias Mk1 and Mk2.

Many of your queries will very likely have already been raised in there (you can try using the "search" facility), and there are other sections for projects, performance upgrades, tyres, audio and much else besides; basically, have a rummage around, get used to the site layout, you'll see that some sections and/or topics are busier than others.

We have an excellent National Meet (see up near the top for pix of this year's, held 21st June at Rockingham Raceway near Corby), most regions hold local meets., typically once a month, and if you get to like us, I can highly recommend taking out Freedom Membership; it allows you to post "FOR SALE" ads for Skoda-related stuff.

Enjoy

Richard

PS. I have experienced the 1.4Tdi PD engine in the Mk1 Fabia, having owned one for several years prior to the Roomster; the Fabia was my first Skoda. Both were bought second-hand; am I guessing yours was purchased as a used car?

Hi Tony - Welcome to Briskoda!
