Octy ISO Connections

Featured Replies

My Stream radio in my Octy 2 has ISO connectors which are a bit smaller than standard ones. Has anyone com across this and if so can you get adapters. Trouble is i'm wanting to install a hands free kit in line between the HU speaker outputs and the speakers but the ISO cables don't fit.

Can you get a picture of the connectors?

If you cant get an adaptor can you make something up with bullet crimps?

Might be a little Heath Robinson but it'll work.

Thing is I don't want to cut up the loom in the car. I've attached a picture but it may be hard to tell that the connectors are smaller as I haven't set a standard connector alongside it for comparison.

Looks like the only way to overcome that is to get hold of a dedicated adaptor for that unit. It's likely that no one has made one.........yet.

If you look on www.caraudiodirect.co.uk you can see a whole range of adaptors specific to car models. The nearest one is for a Golf mark5 but I don't know if its the same type as the Skoda Stream connector.

The only thing I can suggest is to go to Halfrauds and see if they do this adaptor and see if its the same as yours.

I'll be interested to know the outcome as I am having a new Octy II in April and the HU is coming straight out in favour of my KD-AVX1

Halfords seems a good bet as you say. At least i'll be able to compare adapters directly.
