Does anybody know if it possible to adjust the "ping" sound when a mobile phone connects or  disconnects via bluetooth on ignition  switch on or off.

I don't get a ping at all. Are you sure it's the car and not the phone?

When my Samsung Note 4 connects it is the phone default sound that I hear

I do feel like an ass.

 

It is a function of the phone.

 

For anybody else with a S4  it is controlled by the "media volume adjustment" on the phone.
