Hi

The cars seems totally dead.  I drove it to the shops and back again, left it for an hour or so, turned the key fully and waited until the console lights and the coil light went out.  I heard a low rumbling noise coming from the dashboard or behind the dash.  I tried turning the engine on but no luck, it struggled and wouldn't start.  I took the key out and tried again but this time no power to the console at all, even the clock and odometer was off.  Tried starting the engine, nothing, didn't even turn.  So gave up, tried locking the door and the central locking doesn't work, had to manually lock the doors.

I'm a total car noob, so any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Sounds like a flat battery.

Agreed, and easy to prove if you have a multimeter (scale 0..20V, and expect 6v or less), or a set of jump leads (connect those and car should now start; disconnect them and expect 6v or less over battery or car stops).

Check battery leads havent come off
