First service - advice please

Featured Replies

I bought my 2014 Outdoor 1.6 TDI CR Elegance Greenline II just over a year ago with 1,350 miles on the clock (and been very happy with her)... I'm up to just over 18k miles now and due to set off the south of France in just over a month. My question is; when should I expect the service light to come on and should I have it serviced before I go regardless? Any advice gratefully received.

You will be able to see how long to a service on the MaxiDOT

Go to

Settings

Service

Info

It will give you all the information relating to when next service is due and what it needs.

I would have it serviced before ,youre talking 2000 miles or near

  ^^^^^^^^ What blue says!

Same here.

Don't give them any chance to void your warranty either.

Thanks Urrell; despite the (nearly) 17k miles I still haven't worked out what all the toys do! Thanks to everyone else too. Amelie, (apparently it is a female Yeti..... - I don't know why either but that's what my beloved wife says). Anyway, having checked the Maxidot whatsit, Amelie is booked in for a service towards the end of the month and I can set off for France early in September in a suitably relaxed frame of mind. That is if the Eurotunnel nonsense is sorted...... Otherwise it's Plan B (Harwich - Hook of Holland)!

I'd make sure it's serviced a good few days before your long trip starts.

Then, just in case anything untoward happens as a result of the service (shouldn't - but you never know) you've got time to resolve it.
