New engine and misfire

Featured Replies

Need a little help from you guys, driving home about an hour ago and the EML light flashed about 6 times on 2 different occasions but within the space of 15 minutes. I've plugged my VCDS in and it's logged misfire on cylinder 2 & 3. I've only had this engine replacement in for 2000 miles and wondering if the spark plugs are brand new when they did the engine replacement or if they put the old ones back in? Need to use the car tomorrow for work and won't be able to ring until the morning. Am I best ringing the dealership first or Skoda customer services? Thanks.

Best Call Skoda UK Customer Services and get them to tell you what is on the Invoice for the Warranty work and if New Spark Plugs are.

Then its going to have to be the Dealership.

The Ignition Coils will not have been replaced.

You have had enough misfires to log codes, but i would have expected the misfire in cylinder 3 to have caused the shutting down of Cylinder 2 and to Disable the Turbo Charger.

Hopefully just the one plug fouling, or the Ignition Coil gone.
