Can I fit 15 inch alloys on my fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have got a fabia vrs. I live in Croatia and the winter is coming and probably the snow. I want to put the 15 inch winter tyres because they are cheaper a lot( about 40 %) then 16 inch(by default). Will I be able to put on 15 metalic alloys on my car. One mechanic told me that they will not be able to fit, only 16 and more. Is it true or not? Thank you.

Sorry for my bad english

Hi, your English is very good - much better than my Croatian!

I'm not sure 15s fit over the front brake disks though :thumbdwn:

15" fit fine, go for VW style as they need a ET38 offset.

Don't get any bigger than 60 profile tyres as they'll rub.

I believe the brake disks are the same size as the 2.0 one, so yeah, they will fit.

They're 288mm - doesn't the 2.0 have the FS-III 256mm brakes like the PD100 TDI?

HM,

I am still confused. Some say one thing and other something else. Did anyone install 15 inch on his car and knows this for a fact and what VW ET38 offset means?

Sorry guys if I am boring you but I should know this before buying tyres.I will buy 15 inch alloys later on?

Once more thank you and sorry for my English.

I had 15" on my car, they do go over standard vRS brakes as long as the offset is correct ( ET38). Even if you get the wrong offset you can always fit spacers. You'll need 60 profile tyres or less.
