Brake lights

Featured Replies

my brake lights are permanently on on my 2007 1.2hpi . After a quick search Friday it looked as though it the switch at fault . Picked a new one up today but it's still the same . Am I being stupid or is there a procedure to fitting these things ?

If its the same as the polo one i did, it should just click in.

That was the lights stayin on all the time too. Switch cured it.

Has the ignition been tampered with or faulty? Any problems turning the car over? Brake lights stuck on is a sign of the car being started by other means than the correct key i.e hot wiring so it could be a wiring issue in the barrel? Police take an interest in cars with brake lights on as they could be stolen.

All sorted was just me being simple .thanks for the pointers

What was it? Share, it may help someone else in the future. We all ignore simple fixes in favour of that disaster we believe is happening. Was it a cyclist at fault?
