Advise on cheap car

Featured Replies

Ive just registered and without going into peraon details I need to sell what I have and but something more suitable as ive just got a Zero hrs contract job which may entail occasionally taking OAPs to shopping /drs NOT A TAXI job ha ha

Well, I owned a R ( year R ) TDi Passat for 10 yrs and it was a perfect car nothing major ever went wrong CV joint was the biggest job 1 bulb 1 tyre ( but I changed all 4 )

I will only a little money so spend on a replacement car and have seen a low milage 04 petrol Skoda 1.8 ( I think ) on the back the badge says 20V ( yes :( I have no idea what that means ) unless I look it up ( will do ) I do very little milage less than 6k a year upto now but this may increase a little when I start this job
I only do very short journeys 99% less than 3 miles normal town / road traffic
Just asked ' a guy that seeks cars ' and he laughed said leave the skoda alone I in turn just want a reliable economical ( hmmm ipI wondering about the insurance group for this car too )
The car ive seen is within my budget of 2k ... My toyota buddies have been suggesting a yaris and the like but I fear I would feel vunerable in such a small car after driving a Celica gen 7 ( 190 ) any help / links or advise would be useful BTW this car ive seen looks like it s out of the 70s but I like it cream ( ish leather )
Cheers guys
