Mk1 Fabia 1.4 TDi for sale

Featured Replies

I'm reluctantly selling my Fabia as it has some issues that I haven't got the time, energy or expertise to sort out.

It's a 54 reg 1.4 TDi classic and has done nearly 106,000 miles. It's been a great reliable car.

For the last couple of months, the engine management light has been coming on regularly. I've had the codes read and nobody seems to know what the actual problem is. It seems to run fine and still does over 50mpg on my daily commute.

The problems started about a week after having a service with timing belt and water pump change. I had the injector wiring harness replaced as that seemed to be a logical cause, but it hasn't solved the problem. Some people on here have suggested it may be a timing issue.

I've got a valuation off one of the sites recommended on here and it's suggesting £895 for a car of that mileage in 'poor condition'. I am open to offers.

It would be a great car for someone technical with a bit of time to sort out. It's got the usual car park battle scars that you should be able to see in the pictures.

Fault codes are visible in one of the images. MOT expires 16th March 2016.
