Bluetooth Woes

Featured Replies

Guys

I have a standard Superb CR 140 s.

It has the basic 'Swing' hi fi.

The previous owner installed a Bury XL Universal cradle.

When I turn on the car, with the bluetooth enabled, the stereo pauses, there is a 4 or 5 tone chime and the stereo displays 'PHONE' for a few seconds.

There is no connection to the phone.

So I search the bluetooth and find 'TTuniversal_v8' which is the bury cradle.

But it will not pair.

As the stereo displays 'PHONE' this must mean there is some phone functionality with this unit.

How would I make use of the phone capability even without the bluetooth cradle, please?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Richard

The stereo is probably displaying 'PHONE' as the Bury kit is activating the phone mute on the stereo (this does not mean that there is any inbuilt Bluetooth present).  The pairing code for the Bury cradle should be 1234 (if you need to reset the cradle first then press and hold the +/- keys together for about 10 seconds) - this may get you connected to the Bury kit.

hope this helps.
