A thumbs-up for SUK!

They agreed yesterday to repair the corrosion on the boot lid of our 9 year-old MKI under the 10 year Paint warranty! I'm delighted!

See the attached pics...

Cheers... Rob

Nice one.  Watch for rattles when you get it back - the cable clips etc get reused and in my case many of them were goosed from being removed over-enthusiastically.  These usually get a new lid as opposed to a repair.

Cheers for the heads-up mate, it'll be great if they replace it.

I wonder if the grotty foam-rubber gaskets in the number plates lights are still used, as that seems to be a nonsense if they are, a bit like replacing the foam around the pollen-filter housing in the plenum chamber with another foam gasket and calling that a fix! Anyway, I'll make sure I thoroughly check it over when I collect it.

They generally have to move everything over from the old lid, design faults and all...

Fabulous.... <sigh>

Tell a lie. I did get a new boot lid Skoda badge out of the exercise, applied on the wonk...!

I remember the policy on these bits well. When I got the car back the electrics for the boot release weren't working properly. Raised it with garage and they said that the tech had noted it but it was a fault with an original part so it wouldn't be fixed. Took the trim off, connected the multipin connector properly... All fixed. <facepalm>
