First the turbo, now ASR

Featured Replies

Last week the turbo on my 6 week old octavia vRS stopped whilst driving. I was advised that this is a common problem and reset when switching the ignition off and on (which worked) The car is going in to the dealer next week to check the fault code and sort. However, when driving today the turbo began by making an even louder whooshing noise and then cut out (as before) this time the ASR light came on and remained on until I switched the ignition off and on.

Is this linked or a whole new fault?

check the dv and pipework.... sounds like a loose pipe / stuck dv... tbh i strongly recommend replacing teh plastic std one with an uprated item...
