The best time to have your vehicle fail.

Featured Replies

Well I have had my VRS for only 1 month and the engine light came on with a fault code indicating the inlet manifold. I believe a common problem with these models. Normally a big bill to pay, but the good news, I have a 3 month warranty that came with the car. The garage which has the car put in a claim after they took it apart. One of the swirl flaps is breaking down and just about to fail completely. The extra good news, the warranty company have agreed to pay the whole bill. Should get the car back tomorrow all fixed and ready to go. At least it failed within the warranty period. Better for it to fail early on in my ownership, than later on where I would have had to foot the bill.

You get about 6months with SOGA anyway, I think dealers use the magical 3 month "warranty" to reduce the chances of come back later on,

Yes I did read something about 6 months. I thought it was within 6 months you could reject the car. Not sure it is also covered for major faults in that time. Hopefully there will not be any more problems.
