I have an Octavia estate (55 reg.), when I opened the boot and the interior lights don't appeared to be on. I checked bulbs and they are fine. about 30 seconds later the locking system locked all the doors and boot. I am deaf and didn't hear the click locking noise and closed the boot. Then I realised the boot is locked. The locking system doesn't recognise the boot was opened. Please advise as I believe it is something to do with boot lock hence the interior light was not on when the boot opened.

Problem resolved as I took a boot panel off and looked inside. Guess what....? it was disconnected! so I put it back then everything is now hunky dory!

Don't you just love quick easy fixes like that
