changing ignition lock

I have had to order a complete ignition housing and barrel for my fabia 2. The barrel comes with the immobiliser ring pre attached. Is this just a simple swap over or will I need keys recoding etc. ?

wouldn't have thought so as the fob(s) are matched to the dash

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. That went well and it came to my place this last weekend. Early 2012, 1.2 TSI, 5sp manual, 158k miles on the clock. This is it, just after being washed. I have been getting a rubbing noise from the rear end of my 2020 kodiaq when turning left and right, I've had it in the garage a few times but been told by Arnold Clark it's a noise all kodiaq like mine make 🤷 then I spoke to Skoda who told me they a talking complete nonsense, anyone had this issue that can help me out please
