fabia2 hatchback rear bumper support bar

Featured Replies

My car has been fitted with a towbar with electrics and I'm looking to remove it as I have no intention on using it. Looking under the bumper skin I have noticed that the original bumper support bar has been replaced by the tow bar support. So I am looking for this if anybody has one.

Out of interest.. Does that mean its got no weights on it then?

The standard fabia hatch has ballast weights on the back bumper

Only a standard mk2 Fabia vRS has weights on the crash bar,

and can not have a Tow Bar fitted to tow with.

Skoda did not give it the allowable tow limits braked and unbraked because they never submitted any for the vRS.

I don't know to be honest. I just had a quick peek to see if the lower part of the towbar could be detached some way but alas no.

Got one sat in the front room. Thing is it's my dad's. So it depends what you're offering. And I don't know how much postage is on something like that.

Is it currently watching TV with the family?

Nope, we actually don't go in the front room that much. We watch TV in the dining room because we don't get our dirty work clothes all over the nice stuff in there. That and there's too much stuff in the room now.
