My 'better half' has just been to Halfords to get a DAB upgrade on his current radio on his MKII Fabia and has come back with a Pioneer Car Stereo with Apple Car Play (without DAB!) - don't ask!

 

Well the upshot is he now hasn't a clue what to do with it apart from play music via his iPhone which he is delighted with. Any quick information that anybody could give about getting the maps to work/the voice recognition to work/the radio app that he has on his phone  - the list is endless. I have an instruction manual but there are not enough hours in the rest of my life to decipher them. Halford apparently told him to contact Pioneer if he had any problems!  I am sure given enough time we will sort it out but there is nothing like first hand experience.. Thank you. 

 

so its a mirrorlink type headunit?

Does it have a built in FM radio etc or does it only use the phone for source?
