Bolero - what's it worth?

Featured Replies

I have an almost brand new Bolero unit that came out of my mk2 vRS 1week after I bought it as the unit was upgraded to a Kenwood by the dealer as part of the deal.

It is sat in my cupboard, any idea what it's worth?

Or do people only want the full fat Satnav things.

I reckon around £150

Personally, I reckon it's worth leaving in the cupboard. The thing is, when you come to sell the car you'll end up selling the Kenwood too, but it won't add as much value to the car (i.e. your pocket) as if you took it out and sold it separately, or put it in the next car.

-or-

Sell the Bolero and buy a Stream MP3 or something similar (i.e. cheap, cheerful and does the job) so you can still take the Kenwood out.

just my 2p ;)

I sold the vRS a while ago with the Kenwood in it, didn't bother swapping them over.

So the Bolero is surplus to my requirements as it won't fit my Golf mk7.

Thanks for the info on potential value.

Aj okies. In that case I agree with £150 then, if you have the code. If not, your local dealer should be able to give it to you. Always a more attractive sale if it has the code.

Answering your other question:

I don't think people always want the full-on satnav stuff.....Bolero works with bluetooth and it seems more people use that for naviation than the OEM stuff these days. (Maps usually up to date for free, dynamic traffic avoidance etc etc)
