Diesel to petrol change

Featured Replies

Hi folks...

I've been a sleeping member on this site for a while now.

I currently have a 2007 TDI 105 Octy estate which I am just about fed up with now...  (very good car but does nothing to light my fire!)

Tomorrow I am going to view a 2004 Octy estate vRS in black.

I am like a kid at Xmas...  bring it on!!!

Regards to all.

The black octy vrs didn't work out...

it wasn't quite as clean as the advert or the dealer made out!!

So it was back on the hunt again, seen a rather tasty looking silver one.

off to see it friday, fingers crossed I'll be heading home in it!

Will report afterwards.

Finally done it!

Last Saturday collected my 2004 Octy vRS estate in silver, been a long time coming.

She's in pretty good nick, immaculate boot lid, good bodywork all aound.

new cambelt/pump, new clutch/flywheel, 12 month MOT, 2 brand new coil packs, serviced for me,

Has cruise which I really wanted, parking sensors which unfortunately don't seem to be working at the moment... oem boot liner and dog gaurd.

she goes like the wind and is such a breath of fresh air after the mk2 diesel!

Got it booked in to Skoda next week for its somewhat overdue coil pack recall!!

Happy days...!

Hello Devon Dubber

I've experienced the same problem with the sensors I was informed that I should put my finger over them and you will feel a tiny click. Apparently if one is out it will make the others inoperable? It should be a trial and error game anyhow it worked for me!

Cheers Andy
