I use the passenger one. Quite handy for a hat or my notes from site without them sliding about.

anyone know how the passenger side one is fixed to the console side?

If you push the whole panel up that the net is fixed to then pull the lower half towards the door the whole panel comes away then you can remove the net.

 

I only found this out as SWMBO jammed something in the net and pulled rather hard trying to remove the article resulting in the whole panel coming away. I was not best pleased as you can imagine.
