Before i start forgive me if i have missed this on the forum but i did look 1st.

 

Mk 2 1.8 tsi 2010 petrol.

The EPC light comes on at random times.

Mainly after i have just floored it.

Seems to go into a limbo mode that i cant accelerate any more.

Goes off if i turn ignition off & back on again (not when driving).

 

Is there a common fault?

Best to get the car scanned somewhere. You need to know the fault code before you can really know what is wrong.
