VW Golf MK8 in 2017 with a new Octavia & Leon Speculation Thread.

Featured Replies

Volkswagen are rushing out 'Insider Information', to their favoured Magazines of Spin to catch peoples attention and distract from any thoughts of Emission Cheating or the likes. *Autocar*. (Able to reveal before the reveal.)

and we can have 'Speculative' Threads and posts online and on forums.

So here is one.

They have been getting on with the development for introduction in Audis first but now seems like a good

time for them to come out with it being about VW, Seat and Skoda.

3 Cylinder 1.0 TSI Engines with Electric Superchargers & Hybrid Light might be powering your Mid Sized family

and Business Use cars sometime in the next 18 months.

*Maybe the picture mistakenly shows the TDI Euro 5 Fix, Electric Turbo (Supercharger) from Maplin,

Cheap Pipe, Hose Clips & a Zip tie.*

(I though VW Announced (leaked) they had dropped development of the 10 speed DSG, R&D Cuts etc.

So that will be getting used then, not fully Developed or proven reliability, but use it anyway.)

(As with all very early by over a year price and date release articles, you are unlikely to actually get them, just when 'scheduled for' but there will be some Speculation on this.

They often can not even get the Year right, let alone the month.)

So when there is a Frankfurt Motor Show there will be more information,

(Autocar & What Car can then make it Car of the Year before any are sold to anybody.)

and when the are ready to reveal the prices and the release date they will.

'Expect them not to stray too much from the price of current models !!!.'

But no doubt it will have the lovely smart nice desirable LED Lights.

They can maybe say then if they managed on the road to achieve 'the target MPG's'.

& the cars actually emit the Emissions that they achieved and submitted under current EU Testing.

...................

Ps.

Maybe the VWG could let Skoda CZ get the 1.0 TSI Engines into the Fabia & Citigo in 2016 that they

already have in VW, Seat & Audi now.

And also the 1.4 TSI ACT 1.4 TFSI COD into Skoda Models that seems to be the preserve of the 3 Sister Brands.

So power uplift on GTI models.Further up the range, the Golf GTI’s existing turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine has been retuned, giving it an added 10bhp in both models. In the standard GTI, the EA888 designated unit now delivers 226bhp, while the GTI Performance now develops 242bhp.

No mention of R400 :Volkswagen is remaining tight-lipped on the changes brought to the range-topping Golf R, although officials suggest it will receive an added 20bhp, taking its reserves up to 414bhp in line with the earlier Golf R400 concept.

Great stuff.

I wonder if all this was ready for announcement for the media and then the several thousand petrol golfs in the US of A recall for fuel leaks cropping up and including some vehicles in Europe and the rest of world will make any difference to the VW Groups plans.

Autocar, What Car, Auto Express etc are being very gentle on the VW Group and their various issues & the investigations.

Not much being said about 'The Fixes' and the lack of clear information from the VWG or investigations and testing from Motoring Magazines in Europe.

Nothing to do with the VW Groups power with the Advertising Budget.

Loving mine and great service from my local Seat dealership, they are also Skoda, VW, Audi etc etc.

Very good customer service all round with the John Clark Group in Scotland.

They dont have that much competition really in their area from the many Arnold Clark Group Dealerships.
