Hello, firstly I want to thank all of you for all the help so far!

 

Basically next summer I need to get new rims, since I'm a young man still, I believe 18" or above has its place in my heart!

 

I however have not owned a car before, so I am not sure what to look for when buying alloy wheels etc.

 

Whats the maximum specs of a rim that would fit on my car currently? 

 

How's about fitting the correct 18x7.5 wheels with ET51 offset fitted with 225/40-18 tyres. Or do you favour even wider rims? I suppose it depends whether you see your car as a means of transport or an ornament.

Well that's boring.

I would have thought 18x8" (or 8.5") ET40-45 would still be consider pretty conservative and far from the 'maximum specs'. Whatever that is.
