Put the windows down and can't get the passenger one up,won't work from either switch, drivers goes up and down, tried closing with key in door but no good, tried holding fob still no joy,if I press the switch you can hear the mechanism clicking, tried unplugging and reconnecting but that doesn't make any difference, don't fancy leaving it parked with a plastic cover over it all night,it's a 2011 monte by the way [emoji35]

Have you hend the switch up until it clicks?

Apparently thats a reset

This may sound odd, but are you trying to close the passenger window with either of the doors open?

I had a fault a while ago where the loom in the door was chafing where it passes through the rubber boot, into the 'shell' of the car. When opening the door (drivers side in my case) the windows would not budge. I concluded that the wires in the door were being compromised further.

So,try with doors closed, or, if they are already closed, try with them slightly ajar etc

Picked up a new switch, drivers side, passenger side on order for Saturday, window now works like a dream.

£29 and £12 for the switches, certainly cheaper than £55 diagnostics+labour charge to strip door to find what's wrong [emoji106]

Glad to hear it!

Wow, that's odd then having both switches go at the same time. Glad you got it sorted though.

I'll see how it goes when I get the passenger side switch on Saturday

It is odd though but hopefully it will be sorted,at least I can leave the car parked secure and it's not as cold or noisy driving [emoji1]
