Loss of Gears

Coming home from work today I lost all gears, the cable is working fine to the top of the gearbox and moving the linkage.

Even when I took the airbox off and moved the linkage by hand still no gears.

I have done a quick search and the only problem of the forum I can fine is the shaft may of stripped the splines in the box.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would help me loads thanks

2006 1.9TDI with 192000miles

With a friend last year I changed the dual mass to a solid one, since then the gear selection has been great.
