Replacement tow ball

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I just got a 57 plate octavia estate which has a towbar bracket, but the actual towball is missing. The fixing is a cylindrical hole with what I assume is a securing pin. Possibly a horizontal detachable towball.

I think it was original equipment, but I'm not sure. Any ideas where I could get a replacement towball?

I've looked all over the net but everyone wants to sell me a complete towbar rig.

Cheers

Tim

Sounds like a Towsure detachable bar, but I think its no longer avalable.

Strange as it may sound, I may be able to help!

I have an Octavia with tow equip/towsure remove able swan neck. In 2012 I was shunted at traffic lights. Luckily the swan neck wasn't attached . The whole figment was replaced when I got the car repaired so I have the old swan neck in the shed, complete with retaining pin. Mine has a circular socket not square like the video.

Hi chris99t

That looks like the same towbar attachment! How much would you like for the towball?

Cheers

Tim

I'll dig it out of the shed tomorrow mate and check the key is with it. Not sure what it will cost to post it all the way down there. How does £30 sound?
