mondeo drop links?

Featured Replies

Right, I'm getting all the bits together for sorting the suspension on my mk2 octavia vrs. I'm going to go for ap coilovers as it's a bit different and no one uses them (erm.....lol) I've heard/read I won't need to change the drop links can some one confirm this? if I do which ones will I need? Jom do a universal adjustable set for £30 and a lot of the fabia owners have used mondeo one as they are shorter and cheaper. Can these be used for my car too? Thanks

Ben

Mk2 drop links from Whiteline £100 or so are available - they loo lightweight and adjustable to allow for the shortening, I would have preffered these, however when I went to order, 2 weeks ago, I was told they would be 4 weeks away with ordering, so, a change of plan required.

I used GSF and got the Premium ones (there are cheaper ones), with 33% off so came in at £38, which isn't bad, but they are not adjustable. My situation is more out of desperation than need, as I am going back from Coil overs to Lowered sport suspension (20mm), having snapped/sheared the drop link mounting point on both front legs.

Wasn't aware of mondeo ones...... not on a mk2 anyway, as they are like 8 inches long.....

Which coilovers were you using?

I really don't know, they came on the car when I purchased it, my feeling is they weren't expensive. When I get them off, Ill look and see what they were/are/ see if its possible to tell. They have silver bodies with red springs, but that could be a number of makes.
