brake problem?

Featured Replies

When I drive off and apply the brakes for the first or second time I get a sound like there is a flat tyre, probably from the rear drivers side.  Afterwards the sound disappears and the car's ok for the rest of the journey.

I've checked the tyre pressures and they are all ok and there appears to be no problem braking or if I have parked up for a shortwhile.  I get the same problem when I drive off  the next day.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Thanks

Probably a build up of rust on the discs. After braking a few times the pads will clean it off.  Mine does the same.

Take off the callipers and sand it down a little bit as well the brake disks and look for any dirt !
