Voice Control / Sat Nav

Featured Replies

The voice control has stopped working on my Columbus. If I press the voice button on the steering wheel, it says "Please wait..." on the screen and then nothing. The strange thing is that the Sat Nav has stopped giving voice direction and warnings too.

The dealer is liaising with Skoda to diagnose it, but I'm wondering if the 2 are linked. The voice control uses the inbuilt voice to confirm instructions, so perhaps if that isn't working it won't allow voice control.

It's not a major problem because I don't use it much, but it's disappointing because the head unit is the only thing on the car I've had any real problems with. I'm hoping that if I decide to stick with Skoda next year, the MIB2 units prove to be more reliable.
