Fitting Lowering Springs

Recommended Posts

So this morning at work while it was quiet I got my car in the workshop the have my eibach lowering springs fitted. First of all the lower shocker bolt snapped as it was heavily corroded and the the strut mount bolts started spinning as the inserts had come loose due to heavy bolt corrosion. Going to have to leave it on the ramp till after Christmas now as cant get the parts now till tuesday. My car looks very clean underneath with very little corrosion apart from those 2 places. What a nightmare. Anyway I have a little go kart to run around in (Hyundai I10) for now.

Merry Christmas All.

I have ordered all new bolts and 2 new top mounts + bearings just as a precaution. TPS had them all in stock and I get a very good discount from them through work so will get them on Tuesday. The underside of the car is well looked after but it just seems that these in particular have suffered.

Was also looking at eibach lowering springs.. Curious as to what amount of drop you have gone for? Is it just the springs you are replacing?

Seen them for about £171 on the net
