Steady 12v USB-plug for GPS-CAR-Camera behind back-mirror? How..

Featured Replies

Hi Axel. The best and probably easiest option is (assuming your power cable is a lighter plug) to buy a female lighter socket and crimp it to a piggy back fuse which then plugs into an ignition live under the steering wheel fuse box.

If you don't see this by tomorrow then merry Christmas!

Are there some illustration of removing the panels inside for running the wires up to the back - mirror?

The panel at the end of the dash where I put the female 12v socket just pryes off. The panels on the a pillar do not have to be removed you can push the wire up behind them by pulling them out a little, make sure you run the wire up the side next to the windscreen not the door, this makes it easier at the top. The wire then runs under the headliner across the top of the windscreen, again house push the wire under the headliner, no need to pull it away.

Hi. To remove the shield wasn't that difficult, and attaching it again went well.. So we're green!
