vRS Lumbar Support

Featured Replies

Starting to look at the spec of a vRS as need to replace my car soon.

I am looking at sticking with the stock cloth seats as not overfussed about the electrical adjustment that seems to only exist on the leather option.

Anyway my question is do the standard cloth seats come with adjustable lumbar support?

Thanks

Kimbie

Hi Kimbie,

The standard vRS seats do come with lumbar support as standard. As with the leather though this is just a simple lever on the side of the seat which doesn't allow you to move the lumbar support up or down - just in or out if that makes sense.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that just what I was after :)

Indeed the leather electric seats have pneumatic 4 way lumbar which is better but you have to pay a hell of a lot of money to have them though.

Yeah that is my dilemma at the moment, weather to save a few quid and stick with the standard, or go sod it and get the leather, heated seats etc.

What are the leather seats like though?

OK, not the best quality and the covers stretch and bag, particularly on the seat base bolsters.

Its rather a shame the electric seat option cant be had without leather.

I have a Mk7 GTD with cloth, seat heating and lumbar and its nigh on perfect. I guess the GTD seats are probably outright a little more heavily bolstered than the vRS seats but I expect they are v similar.

I have an Elegance spec Octavia as well and the seats are like glorified deck chairs, plain awful :-)
