Jvc Kd-g701

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone has experience of this model as its in the octy I just bought and I have a couple of questions

1. Why o why does it not remember that I left the radio on a preset when I turned it off thus greeting me with static even though it still remembers that the preset is tuned to radio 1 when I press it??

2. Why does it not remember that I like the faceplate at angle 3 when I turn off the ignition and take out the key, but if I leave the key in it remembers??

I thought these points might be linked (as in the memory wire isn't plugged into the battery) but the why does it remember my presets and the time?

Very confusing:confused:

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

pull it out, swap the yellow and the red wire :)

memory and permanent live are swapped

cool, what can I use for pullers?

not sure you need them for the alpine. pull the surround off the unit and there might be a little clip on either side of the unit, they are almost like little pins. hard to explain. unhook them and give the unit a gentle tug and it should come out :)

JVC's require a flat key to remove the unit, there about 5mm wide and about 4 inch long, you remove the trim surround and slide each removal tool down the vertical edges of the stereo half way down
