Hello Everybody, so I've had my Octy MK2 VRS BWA for awhile now and am considering re-mapping, just wandered how wise/ how easy/ any tips basically? Cheers M

If the engine, gearbox and clutch are in good health then there really is no downside.

 

There are numerous re-mappers out there, not all are equal though!

 

Shark performance (and their dealers across the country) currently have 25% until the end of January, many of us have used them before and rate their maps highly as they are very smooth.

 

You can also put the remap on the car yourself with their STS, ideal if you do not want to visit one of their dealers.

 

Some other tuners will offer a similar thing for their remaps, find a tuner local to you then search on here for reviews.

Cheers Gizmo after wandering around the forum more everyone speaks pretty highly of Shark and their sale is awfully tempting, just a little new to prospect of proper upgrades!

I'm just about to get mine done, I've shopped around and found someone in Surrey whose seems very reliable and prices are excellent.

Might be slightly closer from Oxford.

Hi and welcome there is a shark agent in swindon so very close to oxford i cant remember the name of the garage tho but they will be listed on sharks website .

I have a bluefin map on mine

Was delivered next day took about a hour to do cost maybe more then a tuner might charge but I did it at my house with a cuppa and chilled while it was loading

super chips (bluefin) are based in buckingham very close to oxford where DawsVRS is from they may be able to do a custom map .

Well thou I'm pretty sure I'm capable of doing it, for my first time I'd rather watch someone n ask loads of annoying questions just because I am a curious man so I'm going to talk to Sharks Swindon rep ( BR Developments on Prospect Hill) shortly n see what's up! Purchased the Bluefin for mine and have been very happy. No problems what so over since 2013 and their support is second to none when I've had the odd question.
