That is taking the pee, it will take them 5 mins and they're gonna change you £60 for one hours labour.

just get the keys and do it yourself.

Look in your Yellow Pages for a local car audio place. They will do it.

Daz,

you can buy them, if not from skoda then any audio shop should have them, They shouldn't cost too much.

Pretty sure Halfords sell them for no more than a quid or two :D

It depends on the type of key... I once made my own stereo-removal keys by cutting up a wire coat hanger.

for a standard fabia H/U get two blunt hacksaw blades snap off about an inch at one end... so u dont have the pin left on and then use them as keys... works a treat

...or cut up an old credit card so you end up with something that will fit into the 2 small slots. Once in, the radio can be puilled out.

Moved to the ICE section.

hacksaw blade or credit card *should* work, just be very careful it doesn't snap once inserted and you can't then take the broken bit out ;)

Hacksaw blade sounds like another piece of BRILLIANT advice :)

TBH, on mine, the problem was the h/u was wedged into the dash tight.

Car hifi place used nylon door wedges to 'manipulate' the little beasty of of its slot.

one of the kenwood radio keys fit

just need to have a look at them in halfords

:( went to skoda this morning on the off chance. they took the stereo out no problem. then landed me with a bill for

You dont need a key to remove a fabia radio, once the two side trims are removed the spring clamps can be pressed in via the slots beside them (Just below the level of the key slot) A right angle pick works fine or a tiny allen key. You can release one side at a time,
