Xenon adjustment after rear sensor swap and xenon level arm orientation

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had to have the rear sensor replaced on the 'perb and since then my lights appear to be pointing alot lower than they were before.

They appear to be pointing around 16m away and should be 36m or so (iirc).

I have VCDS so could do a re-alignment but first I want to check which way around the level sensor arm should be. It should be in a v shape but towards the center or edge of the car? I believe if it is the wrong way round it won't adjust properly.

Does anyone have a picture of the rear sensor so I can check please?

Thanks

Who did the work for you and why did they not reset the lights correctly?

I believe they did as I've used them for the last 10yrs. I've checked the sensor and it is in the same orientation as the front so think is correct.

Have done a adaption in VCDS and that does seem to have helped but still not as far as it was.

Maybe some mnaual adjustment is still required.
