Hi guys.

Just purchased my first Skoda. An Octavia VRS 2.0 petrol in the stunning blue colour. It's a 59 plate and I'm loving it. Had a Audi A4 before that but I'm enjoying the performance from the Octavia. Little bit of clutch whine just after I picked it up but the Skoda dealer replaced the clutch. Cracking service. My mate has the new vrs diesel and he recommended this forum. I'll have a read through the posts before I start asking questions.

Recirculating Button not working

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Sorry I have asked this before but can't find post. Need to know the torque/angle tightening for the front hub bolt to drive shaft. Remember there being a difference depending on 6 sided or 12 point but cant remember. Will be using new 12 point bolts and also tighten with wheel of ground. Was thinking of reusing original 12 point but it was so tight had to use a 3/4 inch breaker bar with a 5 foot pipe on it to get it to move so reckon its been stretched a fair bit. Alasdair

Anyone knows whats the issue in retrofitting original Skoda towbar? Dealer says it can't be done vecause there is bo software. But they sell the cars with "towbar preparation"...
