Engine mods on a 1.2? In terms of price/performance it won't make a whole lot of financial sense. But Erik at Advanced Auto Sport is the person to speak to about cams and the like if you do decide to pursue it...

Re - www.carpartstuning.nl - they have lexus style rear clusters for new polos - maybe they'd fit a fabia?

Thanks,

My girlfriends brother is a mechanic and reckons he could get about another 20 to 25 bhp out of the engine by various means.

It would be interesting although to see what could be done even by means of adding a turbo and uprating all the neccessary parts as well to deal with it. :D

Hi Stimps I ordered a new set of them for the Fabia Specifically, Brian who works there go onto me and has not yet put them on the site but I have a pic of them if I find out how to post it here

Yeah, 20-25bhp should be possible, though I reckon on about

Not too bad! Do you mind me asking how much they're going to set you back?

(Also, where's the indicators on those clusters?) :D

Bah...best left on a Lexus if you ask me... :D

In response to the end mod, a low pressure turbo could have mixed results, I have been quoted around 1000 euros here in ireland for it and whatever brakes and shocks that has to be uprated, it will be intresting, i know i could put a 1.8 turbo, but this is unique and could set a trend, who knows

In total including P & P

Make sure you take some pictures! :D

Well, yes, if it's a "project" (ie. costs will spiral and bear no relation to the final outcome ;) ) then it sounds like a good one.

However, considering the gains you can get from putting a low pressure turbo on a 1.2 over the gains you can get from putting a tuned 1.8T in there, I know where the smart money would be. And it would be unique, as I have yet to hear of anyone doing it!

I sure will, I am not a boy racer but would like to see by means of Modding how far internally, externally and engine we could get out of it.

I was looking at the Czech Skoda Fabia Club website and is full of ideas :http://www.skoda-fabia-club.cz/

if you look at the gallery it is unbelievable what some people have done.

I have seen one 1.8T in a fabia, a red hatch, it was *very* well done IIRC, will see if I can find a link.

(welcome on board robbie!)

By means of interest how hard or long and cost wise would it be to put a nice 1.8 T into the car, say a rough estimate for the overall including brakes etc etc, I have heard that the Octavia RS can be tuned to a whoopping 290 BHP and possibly further.

Thanks Tavia :-)

I am striving to find better bodystyling parts for our cars to show people that the old stigma is gone and what we have are great performance cars inside and out.

Anyone know where a Fabia WRC Rear Roof/Hatch Spoiler can be got they are Great looking and Huge.

A straight remapped 1.8T would be plenty in a Fabia, reliable \ economical and an easy 220bhp will be more than enough I would think.

As for engine swaps - both Awesome GTI and Jabba have done them - I seem to recall Awesome used to do 1.8T Polo's - so should be used to it.

Guys, the Site where I am getting my lights from will also have White Dials for the Fabia in the next few weeks I have pre-ordered them, just waiting for a price, I have seen Czech Pictures of them and will make a nice difference :-D

Anyone know a rough price of a remapped 1.8 T Engine and know where it could be done...??

Any Ideas on the Fabia WRC Roof Spoiler or it is not on General Release yet ??

Guys this is the spoiler I am talking about if anyone is unsure about what I am talking about.
