Circumstances seemed to be against me at the moment. My car broke down and had to be scrapped and I have been out of work for several months now, so finances left me with a very small budget. At the time I wanted a car I was left with a choice of two that were runners and I could afford. For some unknown reason I chose a mark 1 Fabia above a Honda Civic. The latter was lovely to drive, but I dropped that as I thought the running costs of the Fabia might be less. Only time will tell. The Fabia is an 8 valve 1.4 comfort model and has a few quirky things about it. I will be writing about these over the next few months to try and fix them. If they cost much money then they just will not be done at the moment though. Fingers crossed my choice of car will not be regretted
