Octavia estate boot release problem

Hi all

Looking for some help with failed boot release. When I press the key fob release I get nothing, the 'boot open' stays on the dash when manually the boot is closed, as do the boot interior lights. Can't be the fuse as this also does all the central locking which works. I have tried replacing the solenoid and boot catch in the lower part of the boot but still the arm in the lower catch does not work in the replaed part.

Any ideas?
