Hi, Just a quick hello, I've popped on and off these forums for yonks - but the day has come where the family Fabia has come into my possession. It has been 6 weeks, I have found the beast has a blown head gasket and various other terminals - I'm happy to tinker, but I guess I'll be here to ask a few questions that the pages of Haynes won't answer.

Wino - The MPI's seem to be quite bullet proof, 100k miles is just a bit too much for this particular one. 

 

Today is the steel seal treatment day!!!

Might work for a short while, but I believe gasket replacement on these is pretty straightforward.
