rear ns door handle ' thumb cover'

Featured Replies

Hi

Not sure how it happened, perhaps somebody tried to break in ? This morning I noticed the 'thumb cover'( I believe that's what it is called), ie the small rectangular cover next to the door handle on my rear near side door was missing !!

I can't find a schematic diagram online of the door handle , so at  present I don't know if  this was glued on , has been ripped off  or how exactly I can replace it and cover the deep hole.

The door still locks ok  .Does anyone know if  I have to replace the whole door handle or is this thump cover available on its own? Will try to upload a foto. Thanks

Scrappy would be my first port of call.

But is it a cover that just clips on or do I need to replace the whole doorhandle?

Any signs of a screwdriver (or similar) being used? Sorry can't help with question

No ideas. If you manage to find a scrap car, pry off the opposite side that you need to see how it fits without worrying about damaging it. Then you can take off the side you need with minimal damage.

Just a plastic clip in cover they should be relatively cheap from dealer or TPS though, had to remove mine recently for respray
