Octavia VRS 1.8T power loss

Featured Replies

so did a few miles with my car over the weekend and noticed something really strange.

When the car is full of petrol...it all works good

As soon as the tank is half full or less....when i go around a corner (in any direction)....the car seams to loose power and jerk....then go on its business as usual....until the next corner.

Have you ever experiances such a problem before?

Thanks

Sounds like a fuel pump issue, in the tank.

As above.

Right mofo hehe...will check her out.

Any way of knowing if a fuel pump is at the end of it life, once you pull it out?

Thanks

you can check fuel pressure values by OBDII port using a computer (or app and wireless unit etc)

pick-up could be partially blocked I suppose....

sadly no :( I just got a diagnostic app,but don't really have a baseline for what they should be! lol.... I can check out my car and tell you what the readings are for that next time I'm out messing with it!
