Parking sensor ecu

Featured Replies

Hi guys after having a diagnostics scan done it seems like I might need a new ecu for my front and rear parking sensors. Mine is marked as 1z0 919 475 c but I have also seen 1z0 919 475 E

would an E revision still work?

Is the E revision an updated / improved version

Would an vw / Audi ecu also work (what's an alternative part number?)

Where would be the best place to buy from a main dealer? Can't find any used on eBay at the moment.

For 8 sensors

You can also fit a VW one

5K0 919 475C or 5K0 919 475E

Skoda

1Z0 919 475 E

If I can't find one on eBay is a main dealer the only other place to get hold of one?

right bit of an update, finally got round to getting to the dealer and getting a new ECU. Plugged it in tonight and i'm still getting an error tone, would i need to reset any error codes before it would work or would there appear to be a different fault?

It could be as simple as a buzzer failing. It's quite common and I'm pretty sure it also causes that failure tone. I had the tone when I upgraded to the FL module you are talking about and before I fitted the second buzzer (the pre FL setup is only one buzzer even for 8 sensors). The two buzzers are at the bottom of passenger side b pillar and under the upper steering column shroud.

both buzzers appear to be working when i adjust the settings, the reason for the ecu change was because when we scanned it the readings for all the sensors gave the same readings.

Sounds an odd one. Did you scan with vcds? If so can you post the results?

Well finally got round to sorting this bloomin problem started to take off the rear bumper to change the sensors, got half the screws off but couldn't get to the wheel arch ones without taking off the wheels to pulled bumper out to change middle 2, still not working, so thought to myself let's just double check all t wiring harness and noticed a section just by the spate wheel well where the loom gets thicker. Unwrapped the tape to find nice green corroded wire so cleaned them up resoldered and covered in heat shrink and hey presto they work yay :)

Hey guys,

Are VW, Audi and Skoda modules interchangeable . Mine is 5K0 919 475E and I am wondering if I could get the Skoda or Audi alternative (In my case an 8K0919475) Thanks!
