Aftermarket parking sensors.

Featured Replies

I saw a Merc the other day with its rear bumper hanging off. Behind the bumper were parking sensors that would be hidden when the bumper is in place.

Can you but aftermarket parking sensors that glue to the inside of the rear bumper? I hate the look of the ones you have to drill to mount.

I don't know if they are any good, but I was in homebase last night and they had a kit that just stuck to the rear bumper, will try and find some info, it was cheap as well.

EDIT: These are the ones I saw in hombase, had to look on eblag for them :-) they may be poop but they are cheap and wireless

Ah yes, I've seen those advertised on one of the cheapo Sky channels. What you cant see very easily from the box is that they have to be stuck to the outside of the bumper, with a wire running over the boot sill.

I'm after something that will fix inside the rear bumper.

Something a little like this I guess:

I've got a set of electromagnetic ones which I haven't fitted yet. I got them for the same reason as you - don't like the idea of having to drill holes etc. It looks like they'll be good but as I say I've not fitted them yet (had the kit over 6 months!).

It just sticks on the inside of the bumper, and even has a little LED monitor thing which sticks above rear view mirror :)
